We’ve created a kitchen that feels warm, welcoming and effortlessly connected to the home.
For this Herne Bay kitchen renovation, designed by Alina Cuchiliuc, the goal was to transform the clients kitchen into a beautiful, functional space that would complement their home and the natural surroundings.

An important objective was to extend the home's existing mid-century and Japanese-inspired design language into the kitchen and dining areas, which previously felt disconnected from the rest of the house. Natural timber was a key element in achieving this vision, bringing warmth, texture, and a stronger sense of continuity throughout the home.

One of the main features is the curved fluted cabinetry, a move away from traditional straight lines, introducing something a little more interesting. The delicate vertical detailing adds texture and movement, while the rounded corners soften the overall appearance and create a natural flow between the kitchen and adjoining living spaces.
For the benchtops and splashbacks, a beautiful light stone with delicate gold veining was selected. Its subtle pattern brings warmth and elegance to the space, complementing the soft neutral cabinetry without overpowering it. Integrated lighting highlights the stone and adds another layer of warmth to the kitchen.

The window seating was another important part of the design. Rather than treating the kitchen as a separate working area, the goal was to create a connection with the surrounding living spaces. This little corner offers a place to enjoy a morning coffee, relax or simply take in the garden views.

Behind the soft and elegant appearance is a carefully considered layout, with generous storage, practical working areas and a well-organised pantry. Every detail was designed to make the kitchen comfortable and enjoyable to use, while maintaining a clean and uncluttered look.
The combination of subtle textures, curved details and natural light creates a beautiful balance between modern simplicity and timeless elegance.
