These clients are a professional couple with adult children and a grandchild, all living at home. They came into our showroom, not necessarily wanting a new kitchen immediately, but liked what we had to say about how we worked and the possibilities, so we booked a consultation right there and then.
The brief was simple: Make our kitchen workable for the whole family! More bench space and storage were also essential. They wanted a kitchen that would enable everyone to be in and around the kitchen at the same time – something their existing U-shaped kitchen didn’t allow.
Once we had decided on a more functional and accessible ‘island’ layout, we set about choosing a theme or a focal point for their new kitchen. Natural stone was to be the standout feature, so we took them to see our stone supplier – and they fell in love with the White Maccabeus Quartzite. From here, we selected complimentary paint colours and the secondary benchtop, seamlessly combining all the tones and materials into one cohesive palette.
After the kitchen was completed, our clients asked us to look at their laundry. They said they loved their new kitchen so much that they wanted us to do the same amazing work to their laundry.
Every step of the process was enjoyable with such lovely clients! They were always enthusiastic with our suggestions, and nothing was a problem. Due to the time of year, we had to be realistic about finishing their new kitchen before Christmas, which they understood. Fortunately, our excellent suppliers worked overtime to ensure they completed it on time.
